Passing your driving test gives you independence and freedom, unfortunately many learner drivers take their test before they’re ready.
In April 2024, 52 out of every 100 driving tests failed in the UK and that means 52 ready to pass learner could not take their tests. This only leads disappointment, extra costs and delays other learners getting that pass everyone desires.
You’ll be asked 2 vehicle safety questions by the examiner, known as ‘show me, tell me’. This is to show you know how to perform basic safety checks.
You’ll get one driving fault (sometimes called a ‘minor’) if you get one or both questions wrong.
You’ll fail your driving test if your driving is dangerous or potentially dangerous while you answer the ‘show me’ question.
You must know all of the answers to the "Show Me, Tell Me Questions", the pupil is expected to answer these questions in line with the DVLA's answers.
